Global warming sanity from India

No one has died or is likely to die from global warming, but people have been dying in their hundreds of thousands from poverty, with India right up there as a place in which they've been dying.

Full praise then to India's environment minister, Pradipto Ghosh, who in preparation for next week's G8 meeting that will focus on global warming says "that any curbs would hold back India's economy and damage attempts to eradicate poverty."
"India will reject any attempt to put legal limits on greenhouse gas emissions at the G8 summit next week. Setting legal limits on CO2 emissions was "not the path we [India] want to pursue," Mr Ghosh said.

"Reducing greenhouse gas emissions [is] likely to have significant adverse impacts on GDP growth of developing countries, including India - and serious implications for our poverty-alleviation programmes," he said."
Good on him. That's a man who has his priorities right. See (UK) Daily Telegraph: India to Shun G8 Demands on Gas Emissions - [hat tip Marcus].

Excellent. This is what we (and you) should be focusing on. Some loving advice -- you are seriously marginalising yourself about GW and starting to look like a creationist crank. If you want to be taken seriously you have to get on the same page as everyone else.

Whether AGW is an indisputable fact or not is irrelevant to the outcome at this point. The West has to suck it up.

Poverty is the greatest cause of suffering on this planet. It therefore follows that if one has an interest in relieving suffering one would wish to understand how poverty is eliminated. Fortunately we know the answer, as the link shows.

Fuck you you toadying,James Taggart lite looking bitch! Why the hell should he when he's in the right and produces evidence to prove it?

"Whether AGW is an indisputable fact or not is irrelevant to the outcome at this point. The West has to suck it up."

Why? Undermine it and the truth will out.Do nothing and billions will be wasted and many people inconvenience if not forced to an earl death.

Irrationality is the leading cause...poverty is pretty much the biggest symptom. If you surrender to the irrational we might as well sign the death knell of the human race and get in quick for last drinks...

You are a stupid man James. The only James Taggart is you.

PC has effectively marginalised himself in the NZ blogosphere with his constatnt shifting of the global warming goal posts. He has also marginalised himself with his irrational fatwa on John Key. No one of any note links him these days.

Reality will have its day James - and reality is on my side I am afraid, as you have seen, and will continue to see.
