Religion on the Radio

Something a bit unusual for your Sunday today: Religion.   Go on, confess: You’ve missed my regular Sunday posts, haven’t you – I can hear you already. So check out Rationally Selfish Radio on that very topic:

Dr Diana Hsieh lectures on her regular ‘Rationally Selfish Radio’ podcast on the philosophy of religion -- particularly arguments for the existence of God. In this podcast she introduces the topic by discussing its importance, the burden of proof principle, and the nature of God. The length is 20:58 minutes.  Head here to get all the links

Enjoy!  And to help you enjoy properly, here’s one of my favourite cartoons from Russell’s Teapot. Did someone say Pascal’s Wager?

By going on about religion all the time, you come across as a nutter. A sneering, arrogant nutter. Especially at Christmas when it is a time most people enjoy whether they appreciate the religious aspect of it or not.

Susan Ryder & the man behind Oswald Bastable should be given the chance getting the libertarianz off the ground. The current strategists are pathetic.

If not, then look forward with despair to another paltry 1000 votes in 2011.

Oh yeah, perhaps you should blog on this, and learn to develop some sense of perspective [and what's important] on this Sunday:

Another Govt commission! Yay

By going on about religion all the time, you come across as a reasoned and rational human being who nicely points up the idiocies of the nutters who buy into it.

As for linking views on religion with electoral success or otherwise.... I don't remember overhearing huge numbers of people at the polling booths saying to each other "I'm no gonna vote for that whatsisname who doesn't believe in God!". Maybe I wasn't listening.

Bloody atheists. Spoiling Christmas for all the consumers....

[not Lindsay Perigo]
[not the Dalai Lama]
[certainly not Susan Ryder]
[possibly Lord Ganesha]

Religionists like objectivists, for example?

"I'm no gonna vote for that whatsisname who doesn't believe in God!". Maybe I wasn't listening.

By focusing on such unimportant issues you come across as nutbars.

That's why the libs only get 1000 votes. See the connection ?
